The House That Built Me: Essays and Reflections

"The House that Built Me is an inspiring collection of essays on how our churches have influenced, inspired, and changed us. The reflections are diverse and touch on how different types of churches can make an impact on our lives; from churches of childhood, to a chapel discovered on a neighborhood stroll, to the nontraditional places of worship that brought a teenager to Christ...these stories will touch you, causing you to reflect on your own spiritual houses that "built you." This collection is written by members of the Southern Christian Writers Conference."

ABOUT ME

275612154_10159612055780856_8742847828190585384_n_edited.jpg

My name is Breanna Thompson. I love God with all my being, and Him making me a mama has been my greatest blessing.

I have a BS in English and Psychology and an MS in Experimental Psychology. I hope to one day pursue my PhD in Clinical Psych, but for now, I love to write on topics that tie in motherhood and mental health. After all, being a mama is super rewarding, but it takes a lot out of us.

My hope is to use this blog as a way to help others realize that there is no such thing as super mom and being perfect isn't really an option. It is important to take care of yourself, and most importantly, it is important to love yourself. You can't love others properly until you learn to love yourself.
